About Aya Japanese Restaurant

Aya is the only Japanese restaurant in Armadale that provides Tatami Rooms; traditional Japanese style dining rooms ideal for family or company functions. They are designed to reflect Japanese style dining and yet maintain comfort. Aya whisks you into its vibrant world of exciting dishes and minimalist Japanese decor. Aya manages to fit the many facets of this enticing culture into this venue including a sizzling Teppanyaki grill and sushi bar. The bar is designed for guests to enjoy Sushi at the bar and have the luxury of directly instructing the Sushi chefs to prepare their selections. The bar can easily accomodate up to 12 customers.

Along with sushi and shabu shabu beef, Aya serves exquisite meals in taste and presentation; eclectic delights of fresh tempura, sukiyaki, teppanyaki, noodles, hapuka and the list goes on. Aya is absolutely worth its weight in wasabi; start with steamed crab dumplings & accompanying side sauces or their 'Gyosa: pan fried chicken mince and vegetable dumplings'. Move onto the sublime Tempura or the sizzling Terryaki beef or chicken; offering tender meat that melts in the mouth.

Alternatively you may like to indulge in some of the more western influenced meals like 'Roasted Duck Fillet with Sauté Apples and Onion on Port wine and Soy Sauce' or the 'Grilled Angus Beef of Scotch Fillet with Mustard Seed and Teriyaki Sauce'; very much an east-meets-west variety of main meals.

Aya has earned its reputation as the most unique and finest Japanese restaurant in Armadale. Conveniently located in High Street, this locally famed establishment is renowned for its fresh and delicately prepared meals, with particularly high quality Sushi and Shashami.

The chefs at Aya are from Japan and their experience certainly shines through in every aspect of the meals; evident by the superb presentation of each dish and the amazing textures and fresh flavours. The decor is quintessentially Japanese; minimalist, stylish, intimate furnishings; low tables, a sizzling teppanyaki grill, paper lanterns and authentic washi paper Shoji screens.
